    • What is Shelfari?
    • Shelfari is…
      • Shelfari is a social networking site where you can connect with friends and converse about books you are currently reading or have just finished .
    • Why use Shelfari?
      • Teachers are use to hearing “ I don’t want to read” or “ This is boring” Well if you use Shelfari, kids are more engaged in what they are reading. Students are able to add books to their book shelf according to books they’ve read, are reading, and are planning to read. Students can then write a book review about the book they read. Students can click on other students book reviews to get an idea of what the book is about. Students can start their own book club on Shelfari and discuss their thoughts as they read.
    • Teachers can…
      • Use Shelfari to grade. Teachers can grade students books reviews and summaries. Teachers can also start discussion groups. Teachers can pose questions and expect students to answer them.
    • Shelfari can get parental involvement
      • Parents can be involved too. Parents can access their students profile online and keep track of what their child is reading. Parents can also set up their own profile and become friends with their child. They can discuss books online in the discussion room.
    • Has there been a time when you don’t know what to read?
      • Let Shelfari help. Shelfari has their own blog that discusses books in detail. Shelfari will recommend books to you. You can look to see top rated books that other people enjoy.
