Today 82 percent of kids are online by the seventh grade, (Pew Internet and American Life Project) Time using electronic media holding steady at 6.5 hours a day -- but packing more media exposure into that time: 8.5 hours' worth, thanks to "media multitasking"

To what extent can we, as educators, help to shape the developments of technology in order to enhance human development?
