A Christian must think of himself as a son or daughter of the Most High God. One is not higher or lower than another. We tend to behave as who we see ourselves to be.

  • Romans 12 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renew-ing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.
  • 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. It is impossible to be both proud and humble.
  • All of our natural abilities , as well as our spiritual gifts -- come from God . We should be thankful for them, but not filled with pride about them. But, we should also be aware that each and every one of us is a child of God , Gifted by God to serve Him. One is not lower nor higher than another.
  • Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think If you are saved, you are a son or daughter of The Most High God . That's as good as it gets! False humility is almost as bad as false pride . Walk as a child of God , with your head held high , Because of who you are in Jesus Christ .
  • Don't identify yourself with your failures. Identify yourself with the Righteousness of Christ . Galatians 3 26-27 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ .
  • Romans 3 22-24 Even the Righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus : Past sinners who are now justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Perhaps you have been overcome by drugs or alcohol; do you identify yourself with that? God looks at you or me and sees the Righteousness of His Son .
  • 1 Corinthians 1 30 But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: By faith, I am in Jesus, and He is made unto me Wisdom. He is made unto me Righteousness . He is my Sanctification . He is my Redemption .
  • Perhaps you have fallen into adultery ; Do you identify yourself as an adulterer? If you are a son or daughter of God, you need to identify yourself with Jesus Christ. We tend to behave as who we see ourselves to be.
  • If I see myself as weak, I will behave as morally weak. But I can be strong in the Power of His Might. Ephesians 6:10 I must see myself as a son of God. I will begin to behave as a son of God.
  • Romans 12 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly , according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
