  2. 2. 2Proverbs 4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;and the years of thy life shall be many. 11 I havetaught thee in the way of Wisdom; I have led theein right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps shallnot be straitened (narrow; distressed); and whenthou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.Parents must leadby example.Children remember whatwe do far longer thatwhat we say.
  3. 3. 3Parents leading the way -- God’s Way.They learn how to showtheir love for God, and toshow their love for family.
  4. 4. 41 Corinthians 13 4-8a Love (agape) is patient, loveis kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is notproud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is noteasily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Lovedoes not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.It always protects, always trusts, alwayshopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. …Agape is the highest form oflove, and it’s a verb not a feeling.Friendship is good, but better with agape.Romance is good, but won’t last without agape.

  6. 6. 6Clothes envyHeight envyHair envy Agape doesnot envy.
  7. 7. 7Agape does not boast; it is not proud.
  8. 8. 8Agape is not rude nor mean.
  9. 9. 9Agape is not self-seeking.Hebrews 10 24 And let us consider how we may spurone another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let usnot give up meeting together, as some are in the habitof doing, but let us encourage one another -- and allthe more as you see the Day approaching.
  10. 10. 10Agape is not easily angered, and keeps norecord of wrongs (does not hold grudges).
  11. 11. 11Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in Truth.The world commits fornication and calls it love.Sinners commit homosexuality and call it love.Love doesn’t lead the belovedinto sin.
  12. 12. 12Agape protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres.Too often lust is mistaken for love.Romance is settled for without agape.Agape is showing God’s Love to one another.
