After Saul was saved and was sent to Tarsus for his own safety, we find this verse:Acts 9:31 (TLB) Meanwhile, the church had peacethroughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria, and grewin strength and numbers. The believers learnedhow to walk in the fear of the Lord and in thecomfort of the Holy Spirit. 2
Acts 12 1 Now about thattime Herod the kingstretched forth his hands tovex certain of the church. 2And he killed James thebrother of John with thesword. 3 And because he sawit pleased the Jews, heproceeded further to takePeter also. (Then were thedays of unleavened bread.) 3
4 And when Herod hadapprehended Peter, he put himin prison, and delivered him tofour quarternions (16) ofsoldiers to keep him; intendingafter Easter to bring him forthto the people. 4
5 Petertherefore was kept in prison: but prayerwas made without ceasing of the church unto Godfor him. When Gods children pray, God changes things! 5
Isaiah 59 1 Behold, the Lords Hand is not short-ened, that it cannot save; neither His Ear heavy, thatit cannot hear:1 John 5 14-15 And this is the confidence that wehave in Him, that, if we ask anything according toHis Will, He heareth us: And if we know that Hehear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we havethe petitions that we desired of Him. 6
6 And when Herod wouldhave brought himforth, the same nightPeter was sleepingbetween twosoldiers, bound with twochains: and the keepersbefore the door kept theprison. 7
7 And, behold, the angel of theLord came upon him, and a lightshined in the prison: and the angelsmote Peter on the side, and raisedhim up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from hishands. 8 And the angel said untohim, Gird thyself, and bind on thysandals. And so he did. And hesaith unto him, Cast thy garmentabout thee, and follow me. 8
9 And he went out, and followedhim; and wist not that it was truewhich was done by the angel;but thought he saw a vision. 10When they were past the firstand the second ward, they cameunto the iron gate that leadethunto the city; which opened tothem of his own accord: and theywent out, and passed on throughone street; and forthwith theangel departed from him. 9
11 And when Peter was come to himself, hesaid, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hathsent His angel, and hath delivered me out of thehand of Herod, and from all the expectation of thepeople of the Jews. Until this moment, Peter was not certain that he would live and be delivered.Even when he saw the angel and was walking out, he thought it might be just a dream. 10
We sometimes have to wait on God to move, and sometimes when we are waiting, Our faith wavers. But God is not looking for an excuse to let us down.God is looking for an opportunity to bless us. 11
Just as Peter didnt know if God was going to save his life and deliver him from prison, We dont always know Gods Plan in a situation. When Gods people pray, God changes things. Keep on praying, even if your faith is weak.God delivered Peter, and God loves you as much. 12
