    Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth
    66 books
    of eye witness accounts, specific prophesy, instruction, etc. written by different divinely inspired writers in different regions over thousands of years
  • 3. What is the Bible?
    The Word of God
    2 Timothy 3:16-17
    “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

    NOT a “cleverly invented” story (2 Peter 1:16)
    “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’sowninterpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:20-21)

    Battle not against FLESH and BLOOD, but supernatural POWERS and SPIRITS (Ephesians 6:12)
    The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) He is like a roaring lion looking to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
    The World is full of the Enemy’s death traps!
    The Bible has the battle plan for victory!

    If you’re at war, you need an EPIC weapon
    The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephes. 6:17)
    Jesus used it to fight off Satan! (Matthew 4:1-11)
    Defenseless against Satan without the Word!

    Avoid spiritual starvation… YOU NEED TO EAT!
    “Man does not live on Bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4, Deut. 8:3)
    Starved people are WEAK or DEAD!

    Keeps you from sin!
    “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” (*Psalm 119:11)
    “…How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.” (*Psalm 119:9)
    *Psalm 119 is long, but the writer speaks a lot about the importance of God’s Word.
