A thorough study of communication schools across the globe was undertaken which when combined with the vision and foresight of Late Prof. Surojit Lahiri and Prof. Ramola Kumar gave birth to DSC.

Placements• DSC is the only institute of its kind to intensely integrate work experience with the academic programme• Each student is placed for 2 Apprenticeships (upto 5 months of half day work experience alongside the course)• And 2 Internships (upto 4 months of full time work experience)• Students earn between Rs. 5,000-15,000/- per month during their Apprenticeships and Internships.• Placements as a result of apprenticeships and internships are ensured ( 1 – 1 1/2 years of work experience) well in advance of graduation ( even upto 4 months before time).
