    • These tips will help you outline your PowerPoint:
      Plan out your overall goal of presentation
      Research your topic and use sources
      Understand the audience you are presenting to
      Practice and time your presentation
      Plan Carefully to Create and Effective Presentation
      -You should first plan and outline the presentation before adding content
    • Use The Slide Master
      Using Slide Layouts
      Helps you save time and effort
      Formatting to the slide master automatically updates to the rest of your slides
      Creates a professional and consistent presentation while allowing some variety and creativity
      For example: add a company logo to the slide master and it will appear on all slides
      Create your own slides
      You can also customize your own slides
      Use a blank slide to create your own unique slide
    • Effective Use of Images
      Pros of effective imagery
      Cons of misusing images
      Images can be a distraction
      Too many pictures hinders your audience from understanding the key points
      Avoid using cliché Clip Art that many people have already seen
      Adds visual interest for audience
      Adding images will keep your audience engaged
      Explain abstract points
      Images help your audience understand your point
      Adds information to the text
      Explaining some information through images can be better than text
    • Designing Your Slides
      Have consistent design, positions, colors, styles, effects and transitions.
      Colors should contrast
      Limit Information
      Include only necessary essential information to avoid clutter
      Should be about 7 words per line, no more than 7 lines a slide
      Font size 18-48, larger font for more important information
      Avoid fancy fonts, abbreviations and acronyms
      Should enhance, compliment and balance the slide, not overwhelm
      No more than two graphics per slide

      Video helps your audience understand key points and reignite attention if your topic is boring
