SPECIFIC PRACTICE <ul><li>General considerations : Severe depressions associated with the risk of suicide should be treated medically, if possible. </li></ul><ul><li>Contraindications : Most Yoga practices are helpful. The problem is that depressive people have little enthusiasm to practice. After overcoming the first dislike, they may find Yoga practices (or physical exercise or karma Yoga) helpful. According to some authors, long periods of relaxation or meditation may “close up” some depressive people even more. </li></ul><ul><li>Recommendations : Relaxation, especially short, physical exercises and physical work are usually beneficial. </li></ul>
