    • - High level holistic view of the organisation
    • Created by a mixture of business leaders, technical leaders and data custodians

    • Alignment of operations to organisational goals
    • - Helps identify areas that need improvement or processes that don’t match organisational objectives
    • 2. Change management
    • - Many of today’s organisations live in changing environments
    • - EA shows how changes impact organisational components
    • - Aids leaders to make quicker and more informed decisions
  • 6. Other Benefits of EA
    • Planning
    • - EA can show current and future architectures
    • - Communicate the value of change
    • - Justifying the costs
    • Enhances collaboration
    • - Identification of services that can be re- used or shared among different sections or departments
  • 7. The Implications of EA on Individuals
    • Senior Management
    • - Make better decisions by obtaining consistent and higher quality answers from operational and informational data due to more control over business processes

    • - EA improves the ability to adopt new project methods such as object orientated and rapid application development
    • Information Users
    • - Productivity of system users is likely to increase because of better analysis and design. This is because architected systems will provide a common “look and feel” making it more familiar to users. This would make it easier for users to learn and use the system.
