The existing systems of education have lost their relevance in the Emerging New Global Social order. The existing systems are based on the principle of ‘Knowledge for the Chosen Few’, keeping over 80% under ignorance and poverty. What is required is the New system of Education based on the Principle of ‘Knowledge for All’ so that everybody must get empowered so as to attain sustainable Peace and Prosperity. Its implications are Revolutionary and Long lasting.

  • 2. EDUCATION IS GETTING IRRELEVANT
    • The Greatest Challenge or Threat faced by Schools and Universities or Primary to Tertiary Education, all over the world is that they are getting irrelevant. All the existing models, theories and strategies of teaching, learning and research have become ineffective for the emerging New Global Social Order.
    • The New Global Social Order has been emerging consequent on the Global Economic Crisis, the Arab Spring, the Occupy Movement and the Other New Revolutions bursting in almost all nations. They have exposed the inherent weakness and failures of Capitalism , Corporatism, Communism, Christianity and Islamic Socio-Economic System along with theories and models of education to address the basic human problem of poverty, ignorance and denial of dignity, a reality encountered by over eighty per cent of the humanity even in the twenty first century.

  • 3. FOOD, DIGNITY AND KNOWLEDGE FOR ALL
    • The New Global Social Order is based on the simple principle of ‘Food, Dignity and Knowledge for All’ irrespective of any race, faith, religion, culture or nationality. Ensuring Food, Dignity and Knowledge for All’ is the simple formula of empowering the entire humanity so as to ensure Sustainable Peace and Prosperity for the entire mankind. If anybody is left on any reason, war, terror and misery are inevitable.
    • It is all inclusive, without leaving and branding anybody as ‘Not Chosen’ or ‘Non-believer’ or ‘Enemy of God’. The simple truth is that no human being can be an ‘enemy’ of The Mighty and Omnipotent God or ‘Unfaithful’ to Him or ‘Chosen or Not Chosen’ by Him. Every human being has an equal right for Food, Dignity and Knowledge.
    • Islam, Christianity, Capitalism and Communism have been built upon the ideology of ‘chosen people’ and ‘enemies of God’ or enemies of the majority and above all the maxim of hate and revenge that have been reflected in entire Education System also.

  • 4. KNOWLEDGE -- A PRODUCT FOR CONSUMPTION
    • Like Food, Knowledge, though intangible, is a product for human consumption. Knowledge can both be quantitatively and qualitatively measured and categorized with appropriate methodological tools.
    • Consumption of Knowledge at higher levels leads to production of new knowledge which is the lifeblood of human survival and progress.
    • Education, Research, Inventions, Innovations, Entrepreneurship, Professional Services and the other higher levels of social production processes are the varying functions of Consumption and Production of Knowledge.

  • 5. MAKING KNOWLEDGE ACCESSIBLE TO ALL
    • The existing education system has been built upon the principle of ‘knowledge for the chosen few’. Schools, Colleges, Universities, Training Institutes and etc. are together working as a mere filtering mechanism to determine ‘ the chosen few’ and thereby denying accessibility of knowledge for billions on the basis of specially designed criteria, standards, quality specifications, grading system and etc.
    • As a result, ignorance has been thrust upon over 80% of the humanity and less then 1% has been made ‘the chosen’ to rule or exploit the rest, 99% of mankind. Islam, Christianity, Capitalism, Democracy, Communism are no way different from Fascism in denying the accessibility of Knowledge for the billions. Now just 1% enjoy the fruits of developments and 99% bears the burden of development or misery and ignorance. Then people are asked to believe that the pains of the 99% and the pleasures of the 1% chosen ones are due to the ‘Fate’ or ‘The Will of the God’.

  • 6. KNOWLEDGE ACCESSIBILITY AND EDUCATION SYSTEM
    • The global education system or the national education system of various countries, is a total failure to ensure accessibility and use or application of knowledge for over 80% of the humanity. It is built upon the ideology of ‘chosen people’ propagated or practiced by Islam, Judaism and Christianity and also of Fascism, Capitalism and Communism, discriminating against the majority.
    • It is high time to design a Revolutionary Global Knowledge System of Education System, using the latest technologies for ensuring accessibility and application of any knowledge by anybody crossing the barrios built up schools or universities or governments or religions or cultures.
    • Knowledge must be made the wealth of the entire humanity and everybody must have the equal right to access and make use of knowledge so that the entire humanity can attain sustainable Peace and Prosperity.

  • 7. KNOIWMATICS AND KNOWLEDGE INDUSTRIES
    • ‘ Knowledge for All’ and ‘making knowledge free from the schools or universities’ are the underlying principle of ‘Knowmatics’. Attaining higher levels of Consumption and Production of Knowledge from lower levels are the basic functions of education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, professional services or any higher form of social production processes.
    • Knowmatics is the basis of building up sound Knowledge Industries, quite different from data-centric IT Industries. Knowmatics and Knowledge Industries are capable of making a Revolution in Education for the masses and attaining higher levels of knowledge consumption and production, including application of knowledge in all production processes and thereby attaining sustainable Peace and Prosperity. Ensuring the accessibility of Knowledge by all. is capable of empowering the masses.

  • 8. BASIS AND POTENTAILITIES OF KNOWMATICS
    • The Untapped Revolutionary nature of Knowmatics has been discussed in some of the previous presentations that I have made.
    • The theoretical basis of Knowmatics has been dealt in the paper. ‘ Knowmatics – A New Revolution in Higher Education ’ Journal of World Universities of Forum, 4,1,2011:1-4.
    • Global efforts in developing Knowmatics and building up Live Knowledge Banks in different languages at different levels are required so as to ensure accessibility of knowledge and augmenting consumption and production of knowledge at higher levels.
    • All those who are committed the causes of humanity besides sustainable peace and prosperity must come forward to develop Knowmatics and Knowledge Industries that offer millions of new employment and business opportunities.
