    The Haiti earthquake happened on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
  • 4. Homeless in Haiti
    An estimated  1,000,000 people have been made homeless by the earthquake.
  • 5. Poorest people
    1,500,000 are still living in tent cities.
  • 6. Children across Haiti lost parents in the earthquake are now being raised by single parents, distant relatives, or family friends.
  • 7. It could take as much as $14 billion to rebuild the damaged areas.
  • 8. Porte-au-Prince's population is 2,000,000
