2000 –2002. Deloitte and Touche, strategic performance improvement manager: the position covered consultancy in the entire field of Human Capital Management, both for Hungary and the East European region. Besides several smaller HR assignments, was involved in creating an appropriate HR strategy and relevant HR tools for the Leading Bank of Bulgaria, DSK, and reshaping HR operations at Makedonski Telekommunikacii, a subsidiary of MATAV. 199 7 – 2000 Kanyo Law office and consulting : as HR consultant, helped Hungary’s largest cash-and-carry chain build up a human resources strategy in order to strengthen its leading position on the increasingly competitive market.
1996 – 1997 World Wide Fund for Nature, WWF : as marketing and fudraising officer introduced business planning for the NO, and took the lead in various fundraising events in Hungary and Austria
1993 – 1996 Tchibo Budapest, HR director : the position covered all traditional HR functions in a manufacturing and sales environment, with special emphasis on changing corporate culture via HR vehicles and ensuring increased productivity and profitability. Achievements included a re-modelled, complex HR function which enabled the Company to become the market leader, from its previous No. 5 position, in the production and sales of roasted coffee products on the Hungarian market. Also acted as regional HR expert.
1992 – 1993 Daewoo Bank, Budapest, General Manager , overseeing HR and all non-banking support services. Achievements included a reduction in unacceptably high staff fluctuation rates, introduction of major HR policies and functions and helping the Bank to become the No. 1 foreign bank in Hungary during this period.
1991 – 1992 OTP Bank, Budapest, General Manager HR : responsibilities included the management of issues related to personnel and of the training and labour departments of Hungary’s No. 1 bank. Additionally, the job involved active participation in a corporate restructuring project in cooperation with KPMG/ London as invited consultants
1990 – 1991 Price Waterhouse, Budapest, HR and executive selection consultant : successfully completed a number of assignments for major international clients, predominantly in the fields of finance, marketing and sales. Turned this operation profitable in less than six months.
1983-1990 BOTB/DTI, Commercial Officer in Budapest : was responsible for promoting and safeguarding British commercial interests in Hungary, taking the lead in the agricultural, food industry, consumer goods and pharmaceutical sectors. During this period, UK exports to Hungary increased five-fold in value.
