1. 1. Best Choice : :NIKON D60,D40 and Sony Alpha 200K www.pixetra.com
 2. 2.

Nikon D40 comes with a 6 megapixel DX format CCD sensor. Currently this model is discontinued hence may not be available in the market.

 3. 3.

The D60 has newer firmware and image processors, designed for the 10 mp sensor.

 4. 4.

It has an "Active Dust Reduction System with Airflow Control” and an Adaptive Dynamic Range known as "Active D-Lighting," it lets you save some highlights that may otherwise be lost.

 5. 5.

Compare to D60 with Sony alpha 200K, On paper they are very similar. Off hand the Sony has in-camera stabilization while the Nikon uses in-lens stabilization. The Nikon has higher flash sync speed (1/200th vs 1/160th).

 6. 6.

The Sony will support all late model Minolta and Sony lenses with autofocus while the Nikon does not autofocus non-AF-S lenses. The Nikon uses SD cards where the Sony uses CF cards.

 7. 7.

The Sony has a much more advanced AF section but it is less sensitive. The Sony has an optional vertical grip. Nikon seems to do better at the very high ISOs.

 8. 8.

I personally think the nikon D60 give you more value for your money than any DSLR today.
