    • Ultrasound therapy unit: Programmable with indication list.
    • Combination therapy unit: modern state of art comprising various electrotherapeutic currents like low freq current, interferential, russian, diadynamic, HVPGS etc .

  • 18. Intensive care unit
    • Patient assessment with special emphasis on chest.
    • Chest physiotherapy techniques:

  • 19. Surgery wards
    • All patients admitted are assessed and plan of treatment formulated after discussing with concerned consultant.
    • Patients are given physiotherapy in wards and whenever required called to OPD in afternoon.
    • Patient education & councilling incorporated in patient management especially in amputee patients.
    • Chest physiotherapy is an integral part in patient management.
  • 20. Orthopedic ward
    • Patients are given physiotherapy on bed except when patient needs modalities or gait training for which patients is called to physio OPD.
    • Case discussions are done time to time with concerned consultants.
    • Specialised exercise regimns including assistive device prescription is given to spinal injury patients including gait rehab.
  • 21. Neurosurgery ward
    • Inbed patient management especially when
    • patient is difficult to transfer ( coma, high cord injury patients), Chest care
    • Early post operative mobilization of the patients.
    • Patient education about bowel and bladder, pressure relieving strategies.

    • Physiotherapists of trauma centre are actively involved in training physiotherapy proffessionals

    • 2 nd annual national physiotherapy confrence organised by physiotherapy unit trauma centre.(6 th to 10 th febuary 2011)
    • Live workshop on physiotherapy management in ICU in trauma centre.

    • Physiotherapy management of spinal cord injuries by Lisa Harvey organised by DIAP.
