    • Turmeric is used in India , as a food substance
    • In Ayurveda , it is used as Medicine
    • It is used as medicine , in Indian Homes traditionally
    • It is used both Internally and External ly

    • Latin: Curcuma Longa & Curcuma Domestica
    • Hindi: Haldi, Haridra
    • Gujarati :Haladar
    • Arabi an : Darufussukur
    • P ersian :Jaradpope

    • Two types of Turmeric available
    • One : Long shaped rhizome
    • Other : Oval shaped rhizome
