Top killers in America Big 3: Heart disease, Cancer, Diabetes Number 4 is the modern intervention for these lifestyle diseases! Medicine kills 400,000 per year (JAMA) Sunday, February 21, 2010 Ask good questions What does a person require to express health? What is toxic that could drive me away from health? How can I shift my body towards better balance?

Our bodies are programmed for normal, balanced, healthy function. They do not function outside of balance unless forced to adapt to a physical, chemical, emotional, or a spiritual stressor (toxicities and deficiencies).
  5. 5. WHY ADJUSTMENTS & EXERCISE? Because Motion is Life Ronald Pero, Ph.D. - “Subluxations decrease the genetic potential of the human species.” It is not possible to be well unless you are well adjusted.” Balance & Tension If your spine stays out of balance, it can put tension on your nervous system If you live in a state of chronic tension, then you throw your entire nervous system out of balance. Only a chiropractic adjustment removes subluxation and reprograms the nervous system. With a healthy nervous system, anything is possible! Sunday, February 21, 2010 Subluxation is a stress response and movement deficiency problem. Subluxation = interference in your nervous system (deeply held stress changing muscle tone and joint movement).
  6. 6. BELIEVE & BE ALIVE Create belief systems that are congruent with your values, produce desired behaviors, and desired states of mind. You get to choose your beliefs! Your thoughts influence the expression of your genes. During periods of chronic stress it is very difficult to focus on positive thoughts due to Proverbs 23:7 “As a stimulation of anxious/stressful person thinks in his thoughts (adapt & unadapt) heart, so he is.” Sunday, February 21, 2010 It is easy to blame circumstances for your stress. The problem is with that is when you blame things outside yourself for your troubles, you believe nothing can be done to overcome.

  8. 8. YOUR LIFE AS A MISSIONARY You do not manage your stress, you manage your peace. Peace is not something you find, it is something you work for and spend time on. There is always enough time to get important things done. By focusing on these, you are living a mission-centered life and doing mission-ary work. Sunday, February 21, 2010 What we need to spend time on: family, health, relationship with God, are the areas that cause us the most stress when they begin to fail.
  9. 9. PROTECTING YOUR MIND 1. Focus on the right Relationships 2. Memorize Scripture 3. Personalize Bible passages (insert I, me) 4. Affirm God’s goodness (verbalize His promises) 5. Visualize God’s blessings 6. Quarantine negativity 7. Establish a Law of Input 1.Environment - where you are reinforces who you are 2.Association - you will take on the habits of those you befriend 3.Attention - whatever you dwell on becomes most prominent in your mind and life.   10. 10. PROTECTING YOUR STOMACH Eat foods in balance -> Eat for 3 (Daniel) you, your family, God Don’t give up loving to eat, but get better at choosing what you eat Never say never! PROTECTING YOUR STOMACH Food by Man - Any food that is created or altered by man The farther these foods are from their natural forms, the harder they are to digest Stay away from: Sugar substitutes, Dairy, processed meats, additives Eat twice as many veggies as fruits Keep adding Food by God & keep replacing Food by Man Sunday, February 21, 2010 & don’t drink anything you wouldn’t bathe in
  12. 12. BE HEALTHY, BE PREPARED We are on a Spiritual battleground, and need to be prepared physically, mentally, Spiritual Health and Spiritually. If you were the enemy, where would you attack? his purpose is to kill and destroy. One way is to deceive as many as possible about their bodies [temple]. How? Mental Physical Healthfulness of foods, beliefs Health Health about DNA, cholesterol, vaccination, the aging process, and the nature of true health. Sunday, February 21, 2010 Do your Spiritual Triathlons, Know that it is God’s battle, Prepare yourself to do Kingdom work so you are ready and can be used. Love Him so much it inspires you to be obedient Honor Him with your body by continuing to get 1% better using these strategies

If you interfere with the NS you necessarily interfere with the ability of the body to heal and regulate At each moment, you are either moving towards health & wellness and away from sickness and disease, or you are moving towards sickness & disease and away from health and wellness.
