  • 1. An Overview on Test Tube Baby Procedure in Indiahttp://www.delhi-ivf.comTest tube baby is another name of IVF (In vitro fertilization) procedure in which baby is bornwith the help of test tube. We can say that it is one of the wonders of science through whichwho are unable to conceive due to the blockage of fallopian tubes, low sperm count and lowquality egg or other age related issues, can bear the child artificially and enjoy the cherishingfeeling of parenthood. The baby which is technically conceived outside the womb is known astest tube baby.Naturally, the fertilization process of baby occurs when the ovum travels from the ovariesthrough the fallopian tubes where fertilized by the sperm of the male partner during sexualintercourse. After it an implants into the uterus, developed into the baby. However in case ofblocked fallopian tubes or damaged tubes, eggs are unable to travel to the uterus and henceconception cannot happen.Similarly to IVF, test tube baby process includes various steps to establish pregnancy such as: Counseling: Counseling is very important step of the treatment procedure as couples facing infertility face frustration and disappointments. Infertility affects physically and emotionally and better counseling is essential to encourage them and to make them believe the fact that they can also enjoy parenthood. Screening: This step includes several tests like ultrasound, blood tests and other related tests to ensure your physical health. Ovarian stimulation: Some fertility drugs are prescribed to stimulate the production of eggs to increase the chances of pregnancy and these drugs are prescribed based on the individual health. Egg Collection: When your ovary are able to produce multiple eggs for better pregnancy, eggs are retrieved through egg collection procedure by using the fine needle which passes through the vagina into the ovary to suck out the eggs. Sperm Collection: Side by side, your male partner needs to provide his sperm for semen analysis for which a separate room is available. Embryos transfer: After the collection of eggs and sperm, they are treated in laboratory to form embryos and once good quality embryo is developed after 3 to 4 days, it is again transferred into the uterus with very fine tube. Pregnancy test: After 14 to 15 days of embryo transfer, your doctor will call you for a pregnancy test to ensure the establishment of pregnancy and in case if there is problem than you can again repeat the procedure with your freeze embryos which was preserved for later use.
