• 2. The early believers addressed Jesus as a prophet in the Bible.
No mention in the bible that Jesus is a god.
If Jesus had been a god, people would have addressed him as a god.
The concept of the atoning-god savior was borrowed from the early religions that were prevalent at that time.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 3. Matt 21:10-11 Who is this?" So the multitudes said, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee."
Matt 21:10-11 Who is this?" So the multitudes said, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee."
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 4. Matthew 16:13-14: “When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.“
Note that none of them said that Jesus is God.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 5. Luke 7:16 “Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people.
Note that they knew God as a separate identity and Jesus as a great prophet.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 6. In Luke 24:19 Peter is recorded saying “And He said to them, "What things?" So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people
So according to this verse people knew Jesus as a prophet.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 7. John 6:14 “Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world." Referring to Moses and Deut. 18:15.
Again people considered Jesus a prophet, not a god.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 8. Matt 14:5 “ they counted him as a prophet.”
Matt 21:46 “ they took Him for a prophet.”
Note in Matt 14:5 and 21:46 people around Jesus considered him a prophet.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 9. Matt 13:57 Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.“
About whom was Jesus talking?
He, according to this verse, is referring to himself
as a prophet.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 10. John 7:40-41 “Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, "Truly this is the Prophet." V.41 Others said, "This is the Christ."
In no single verse did Jesus corrected people’s opinion saying “ No, I am not a prophet, I am a god or a part of trinity “
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 11. Peter stood up with the eleven disciples and addressed the crowd saying: “Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22).
Peter, one of the closest disciples to Jesus, affirms that Jesus was just a man whom God supported by miracles and signs.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 12. For Peter, Jesus was a servant of God. Peter said: “God raised up his servant...” (Acts 3:26).
Once more, Jesus stresses that Jesus was nothing more than a servant who worshipped God.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 13. Peter declared: “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.” (Acts 3:13).
It is clear that Peter was interested in proving to people that Jesus was no more than a servant.
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 14. All of the disciples of Jesus held this view. In Acts 4:24 we are told that the believers prayed to God saying:
“...they raised their voices together in prayer to God. ‘Sovereign Lord,’ they said, ‘you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.’”
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 15. It is clear that the one they were praying to was not Jesus, because, two verses later, they referred to Jesus as “...your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.” (Acts 4:27).
: “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.” (Acts 5:42).
www.knowmuhammad.org
• 16. In fact there is no single verse that shows that Jesus is a god or a part of trinity, in the same time, as shown, there are several verses that stress the fact that Jesus is just a prophet.
www.knowmuhammad.org
