  4. 4. Red Vineyards of Arles <ul><li>He painted over 800 oil painting in his short lifetime and only sold one painting! </li></ul>
  5. 5. Irises (1890) <ul><li>Van Gogh liked to paint pictures of flowers. </li></ul><ul><li>Look carefully at each picture. You will notice that he used one particular color in each of his paintings. </li></ul>

Starry Night (1889)- Van Gogh’s most famous painting of all <ul><li>It is one of the most recognized images in modern culture. </li></ul><ul><li>Mostly cool dark colors are used. </li></ul><ul><li>What do you notice about this picture? Look closely there are lots of things to see! </li></ul>
