    8. When to Go The fishing season in Chile’s REGION XI is from October to May. October - November – December – Spring time in Chile - variable weather, but can get cold; spring rains; plenty of wind and some rain; – Good time for rainbows as they are on the move; spring creeks and most of the large glacial rivers are low and fish well;
    9. When to Go  January - February – Mid-summer in Chile - very temperate (60-80 degrees) but can be hot (up to 90+ degrees); – Best weather and best general hatches; all waters are productive – rivers and lakes.  March – April – Late summer/fall in Chile - temperate but cooling off; plenty of wind; leaves turning color as winter approaches; – Browns start to migrate; big fish time; fish the lakes and outlets.
    10. Spring Fishing Specials (October thru December) Spring in Chilean Patagonia (Oct – Dec) offers some of the finest fishing of the year. Glacial waters are low and clear; rainbows are moving from the lakes to the rivers; browns have not seen a fly for five months! For the 2009 season, Southern Exposure is offering THREE SPECIAL FISHING TRIP PACKAGES for you! (These trips can be combined into one – you tell us what you want, we will package it for you!) #1 - Coyhaique Area Trip #2 – Cerro Castillo Area Trip #3 – Rio Baker and Rio Cochrane Trip
    11. Spring Fishing Special #1 (October thru December) Coyhaique Area Trip USD $ 210 per day * Early season offers some of the very best fishing of the year. It is spring in Chile - glaciers are not yet melting, making it a great time to fish glacial fed rivers (such as Rio Blanco and Rio Paloma) as they run low and clear. Spring creeks are also at their best, with optimum water flows and fish that haven't seen an imitation in months. This package includes all ground transportation, guided fishing, lodging and meals at Hosteria Coyhaique - a traditional and comfortable hotel in a great location. (You can upgrade to Mincho's Lodge for a small additional fee.} * Based on Double Occupancy. * Does Not Include: Airfare, Gratuities, and Personal Expenses.
