    Notes on slide 1

I started by saying that before we go too far into the future, it’s probably important to take a look back at our past. So I thought I’d share some photos from my photo album

But first I want to share some greetings from some of my very special friends and colleagues

Introduced you and Andi (in the room) and LMH & VB. Stating that all are sending their greetings and love to the group here this week.

Looking back Insights has had a long history in North America. Here are some pictures from some of our early workshops.

Talk about the fact that we’ve had many brands over the past few years

And we’ve had a few conferences as well. Beneath the pic of Scott and Jane is the spice girls pic of your Dad, so had a little fun there.

But I want to tell you about another part of my personal history…

And it’s probably not what you think looking at this slide (animations). Talk about the fact that in the next 30 minutes 20 new people will have experienced the magic of Insights Discovery.

Invite people to share their comments about their first profile. What did they feel think etc.

For me, receiving my IDPP was like a milestone in my life that I can look back on and realize that my life was never the same afterwards. I share the native Inuit (Canadian first nations) tradition of the Inuksuk/Inukshuk. I say that we’ve had a few Inuksuks in the history of North America.

Share this, but also acknowledge representatives from each of all the Regional Offices present and those not here. Asking them to stand and acknowledge them as the keepers of the vision. Talk about Alan, Kathy, Helen, and myself as starting the first three with Vancouver and Ken right behind.

Talk about the major changes that have happened in Discovery and how we’re going to hear more about the future changes later in Andi’s session.

I invite people to find just one other partner and talk about what were those milestone moments (Inuksuit) that they can look back on in their lives and realize that they were never the same. Give them time to talk. I think invite them to come back to the group and ask them not to think about the milestone moment, but think about the moment before it happened. And ask people to popcorn how they were feeling and what they were thinking in that moment before. People shared things like uncertain, afraid, worried, and lots of other negative emotions/thoughts about how they were feeling right before the “milestone moment” happened.

I said, my guess is that what you all felt right before your milestone moment is what a lot of our clients are feeling right now. It would be easy to do so in a time of headlines like this. However…

I believe that we can choose to look for this instead. And I believe that one of the pieces of good news is that this has the potential to be the time when businesses and our clients look back and consider that this was an Inuksuk moment for them. And we can help them make that happen.

And this is what we’re here to talk about over the next few days. How do we help our clients, help ourselves prepare for this. The Future. Cause it’s coming and the last thing we need to be doing is be over in the lane away from the Exit speeding along as usual. We need to be prepared for that breakthrough moment when our course is forever changed.

And we have a great dream to help inspire and create the future .

And I bet that each of you had a dream as well when you made the decision to become accredited. Perhaps it was commercial, perhaps it was personal. Regardless, there was a dream that birthed in you this idea of becoming an LP. And perhaps it was to help clients in times like this. Over the next few days, I want to encourage you to reconnect to the beauty of your dreams. Remember what brought you here for it is from here that the future can be created.

And a unique aspect of our Insights Community is that you’re not alone in that dream. All over the world you are surrounded by Practitioners doing the same thing you do every day.
