Take Control of Your Thoughts – An Interviewing Tool by Social Work Career Development Scene Coping ThoughtI’m not going to know what to say and I I’ve practiced my responses to both regularwill freeze. and challenging type of interview questions. I am also prepared to ask the interviewer a few good questions.I’m afraid that my nervousness will show I have arrived a few minutes early so that Iup in my body language (my hands may had time to walk off some of my nervousshake and/or my voice will crack). energy and/or meditate. It will probably disappear after the first few minutes of the interview but if not, that is ok. I will just accept my body/voice as is and focus my attention on the interviewer and his/her questions and my answers.I probably don’t have much of a chance It is not helpful to compare myself to otherbecause the other candidates are more people. Instead, I should focus on the assetsqualified (they speak Spanish, have more that I have and the unique qualities that Iclinical experience etc.) may bring to the table.The interviewer will ask a question that I have conducted thorough research aboutexposes my ignorance. the agency/firm and I have reviewed my notes. I’m prepared for reasonable questions.The interview is only a success if the Different interviewers have differentinterviewer is enthusiastic with me. interviewing styles (some may also be exhausted).
