How have we used ICT in our classroom writing
We have visited a number of websites that have been valuable in our development.
We have read and analyzed exemplars prior to our own writings.
All of the class have been highly engaged as it is highly visual and interactive for the children with great graphics which they have created or imported from clip art to enhance their written work.
Their stories will be readily available for the children to continually edit and improve until the end product is ready.
Children can share their work easily with each other.
Children’s work can be sent home via e-mail for parental viewing.

Our Learning Intentions with the integration of ICT in Maths Learning intentions : Learning outcomes :
Go on a shape hunt and use our knowledge of the digital camera to take pictures of various shapes around the school.
Find and take a photo record of Tessellations around the school.
Display differences in size. Enlarging and reducing.
Increase number knowledge and strategies for problem solving.
Collect data and display on a data table and graph.
Increase the speed and accuracy of basic facts and operations recall

How we have used the digital and Video cameras?
Each child has been involved in creating a photo story of things that they find interesting around the school using the varying skills required like close ups, shadows, centering etc.
Children have been given the job of taking and editing sports photos of any sports activity being held on or off our school grounds which will be publicly displayed.
Children have been expected to take, edit and produce a comic strip or photo-story about their school camp to Ruapehu.
The digital Camera has been worked with by some children to take action shots at sport and video parts or all of a school performance. Critiquing follows about closeness, lighting and any other factor that makes the shots taken good or bad.
Learning intention: To use our pictures to create a discussion board with regards to angles, focus and importance of showing what is needed. Panoramic views of school buildings and plants by children
Learning Intention: To build a photo story from the photo’s they had taken during their sandwich making unit.

Use Microsoft paint and increase their use of the toolbar options
Students have been able to increase their effectiveness of using the tool bar with Microsoft paint
Children have increased their use of colour and design in their pictures
Children have been engaged in the activity and supported each other through out the process of using this programme.

Children have worked with the Microsoft Paint programme and experimented with using this to create a pictures of their choice.
Children have also written a story or caption to go with it. Been useful for my Special Needs children.

Reflection of outcomes for ICT integration into curriculum
There has been greater level of engagement from all children across the curriculum
Children’s knowledge of how to use simple computer programmes has increased
Children have enjoyed seeing the use of their own work for teaching purposes
The children are developing a greater independence on the computer
There is an increase of word knowledge and sentences constructions due to use of online programmes.
There has been an increase in speed and accuracy of knowledge skills in Maths, due to the constant use of online programmes.
