  • 2. Our Learning Intentions with the integration of ICT in reading
    We are learning to:
    Our learning outcomes:
    • Use a variety of questions to clarify our understanding and knowledge of the text
    • 3. Participate in discussion about the main ideas of the text.
    • 4. Use Reciprocal reading skills with all reading engaged in on the computer.
    • 5. Summarise in a concise and informative way.
    • 6. Students make sensible predictions about the text and clarify their predictions with supporting evidence from the text
    • 7. Students increased their knowledge of computer skills to successfully click and drag components.
    • 8. Students develop confidence to share ideas in regards to the text
    • 9. Students will understand the importance of concise , but informative summarises.
  • How have we used ICT in our classroom writing
    • We have visited a number of websites that have been valuable in our development.
    • 10. We have read and analyzed exemplars prior to our own writings.
    • 11. All of the class have been highly engaged as it is highly visual and interactive for the children with great graphics which they have created or imported from clip art to enhance their written work.
    • 12. Their stories will be readily available for the children to continually edit and improve until the end product is ready.
    • 13. Children can share their work easily with each other.
    • 14. Children’s work can be sent home via e-mail for parental viewing.

    Learning intentions :
    Learning outcomes :
    • Go on a shape hunt and use our knowledge of the digital camera to take pictures of various shapes around the school.
    • 17. Find and take a photo record of Tessellations around the school.
    • 18. Display differences in size. Enlarging and reducing.
    • 19. Increase number knowledge and strategies for problem solving.
    • 20. Collect data and display on a data table and graph.
    • 21. Increase the speed and accuracy of basic facts and operations recall
    • 22. Measure a variety of angles accurately.
    • 23. All students participated in this activity and got to take a pictures of various shapes around the school
    • 24. Students knowledge and understanding of shapes and their attributes has increased
    • 25. Students have engaged with the activities more with the use of computer generated teaching point and increased knowledge of the topic being covered.
    • 26. Increase their basic facts/knowledge skills using a fun and interactive manner, which is geared to their specific level.

  • 28. How we have used the digital and Video cameras?
    • Each child has been involved in creating a photo story of things that they find interesting around the school using the varying skills required like close ups, shadows, centering etc.
    • 29. Children have been given the job of taking and editing sports photos of any sports activity being held on or off our school grounds which will be publicly displayed.
    • 30. Children have been expected to take, edit and produce a comic strip or photo-story about their school camp to Ruapehu.
    • 31. The digital Camera has been worked with by some children to take action shots at sport and video parts or all of a school performance. Critiquing follows about closeness, lighting and any other factor that makes the shots taken good or bad.
  • Learning intention: To use our pictures to create a discussion board with regards to angles, focus and importance of showing what is needed.

  • 32. Learning Intention: To build a photo story from the photo’s they had taken during their sandwich making unit.
  • 33. Our Learning Intentions with the integration of ICT in Art

    • Students will use the computer to create a picture of their own and frame it..
    • 34. Students will write stories to match their pictures.
    • 35. Use Microsoft paint and increase their use of the toolbar options
    • 36. Students have been able to increase their effectiveness of using the tool bar with Microsoft paint
    • 37. Children have increased their use of colour and design in their pictures
    • 38. Children have been engaged in the activity and supported each other through out the process of using this programme.
    Michael Jackson died recently and he is a huge loss to the musical world. There are rumours that he was murdered by overdose of a drug. More later.

  • 39. How have we used ICT in our Art Programme
    • Children have worked with the Microsoft Paint programme and experimented with using this to create a pictures of their choice.
    • 40. Children have also written a story or caption to go with it. Been useful for my Special Needs children.
    WALT- Experiment and use a variety of art

    SC- Create something new that makes their work more enjoyable to view.

    All children have increased their knowledge and use of a digital camera. They have been able to use their pictures for discussion and are more engaged in sharing their ideas.

    • Each child to find and record facts related to the topic that they are working on.

  • 44. Reflection of outcomes for ICT integration into curriculum
    • There has been greater level of engagement from all children across the curriculum
    • 45. Children’s knowledge of how to use simple computer programmes has increased
    • 46. Children have enjoyed seeing the use of their own work for teaching purposes
    • 47. The children are developing a greater independence on the computer
    • 48. There is an increase of word knowledge and sentences constructions due to use of online programmes.
    • 49. There has been an increase in speed and accuracy of knowledge skills in Maths, due to the constant use of online programmes.
