  4. 4. Arctic Days And NightsBecause of where the arctic is and how the earth rotates around thesun, there can be no daylight for almost 6 months during the winter!
  5. 5. What is the weather like in the Arctic Tundra?It is very cold in the Arctic Tundra. In the winter, it can get as cold as-40 degrees- much colder than any day in New York. In the summer,it can be 50 degrees. In some areas of the Arctic Tundra, the snow nevermelts. It is also very windy.

The whitecolor makes them hard to see if they are being hunted because they blend inwith the snow. Their fur or feathers are thick to protect them from the cold.
