Period One:   Reading &Speaking: * Warming –up:  Questions: 1) Describe one of your favorite teachers in a few words from their characters and teaching styles. 2)What should a good teacher be like?

4. The most popular teachers are always very kind.  5. Good teachers always return homework quickly.  6. You should be able to ask your teacher questions at any time during a lesson.
B. First impressions: Look at the Pictures of  Mrs Li ,Mrs Chen  and  Mr Wu. What are your first impressions of the three teachers?
II. While-reading activities: A)Questions: 1. Who is the most popular teacher? 2. Who is the kindest teacher? 3. Which teacher are students most afraid of?  4. Which teachers explain things clearly?

III.  Post-reading activities:  A)  Work in pairs. Discuss the following questions.  1. Do you prefer serious or funny teachers? Why ?  2. Do you think teachers should help students outside school if necessary ?
3. How much homework do you think teachers should set ? 4. What can teachers do to make their lessons really interesting ?
