  • 2. What is energy? Energy is the ability of an object to transform itself or to produce changes in other objects.
  • 3. Types of energy Kinetic energy: exists as movement. Potential energy: exsits as potential movements. Chemical energy: is stored in certain chemical substances. Electrical energy: is energy in the form of electricity. Thermal energy: is energy in the form of heat.
  • 4. Types of energy Light energy: is energy in the form of light. Nuclear energy: is stored in the atomic structure of all matter.
  • 5. Energy transformation Energy can change from one type to another. You can`t create or destroy energy.
  • 6. Non renewable energy Non renewable sources are limited because nature doesn`t replace them. They also cause pollution.
  • 7. Types of non renewableenergy Ucranium: is a radioactive material. Petroleum: is a black liquid that forms underground. It is used to make fuel oil, diesel fuel and petrol. Coal: is a black rock. Coal is used as a fuel. Natural gas: is a mixture of gases that forms naturally underground. Many people also use gas to heat water and cook.
  • 8. Renewable energy Renewable sources of energy are unlimited because they are replaced naturally.
  • 9. Types of renewable energy Hidraulic energy: water that is moving. Solar energy: from the Sun. Biofuels energy: from plants and animals. Wind energy: from the movements of the air.
