    Psychology has history of 2500 years. It was the time span of SOCRETIS , PLATO, ARISTOTAL. Psychology was studied as a part of Phylosophy. According to Greek Phylosophy-
    Psychology=psyche+logos.
    Psyche=soul
    Logos=knowledge psychology is knowledge of soul or science of soul.

    In terms of study of consciousness.
    William James – in his book Principles of Psychology published in 1890 “The description and explanation of state of consciousness.
    Wilhemwundt (1832-1920)who established the first psychology laboratory at university of Lipzig. Praposed introspection method.
    E. B. Titchener also defined as study of consciousness.
    What is about subconscious and unconscious activities of mind?
    Is introspection subjective? Is it scientific?

    It includes all the motor and conative activities like walking, swimming
    Cognitive – thinking , reasoning, imaging etc.
    Subconscious , unconscious, inner experiences and mental processes .

    N.L.Munn psychology is the positive science of behaviour and experiences ionterpreted in terms of experiences.”
