  • 1. Using Technology to Facilitate K-12 Instruction
  • 2. <ul><li>Young children's brains are well suited for the use of technology. </li></ul>
  • 3. <ul><li>Technology for children looks like students using cameras, computers, tape recorders and video cameras in classroom projects. </li></ul>
  • 4. <ul><li>When technology is used in the classroom appropriately, it can be a great tool for developing higher order thinking skills. </li></ul>
  • 5. <ul><li>Technology use in the classroom allows students to actively think about information and execute skills that would otherwise be done by the teacher. </li></ul>
  • 6. <ul><li>Technology should be combined with traditional teaching methods and lessons to make lessons comprehensive, engaging and interactive. </li></ul>
  • 7. <ul><li>Technology can contribute to almost any lesson, and make learning more fun and engaging for students. </li></ul>
  • 8. <ul><li>It can also help them make connections to their own world and open their eyes to different ideas and cultures. </li></ul>
  • 9. <ul><li>Students tend to not only like their classes more, but they develop positive attitudes when their class instruction includes the use of technology. </li></ul>
