  • 1. Like your beef raw? How to make safe-ish steak tartare
  • 2. Get a nice thick steak and cook it for 2 minutes per side. Exactly two minutes, full heat.
  • 3. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then give it another ten minutes in the fridge
  • 4. Dice some onions while you wait
  • 5. Those onions sure dice fast … got some time to kill.
  • 6. If you’re not comfortable eating a steak that’s this rare, you should probably throw it in the oven and stop reading at this point.
  • 7. Chop. Trim the fat.
  • 8. Chop chop.
  • 9. Chop chop chop.
  • 10. Chop chop chop chop.
  • 11. Nicely diced.
  • 12. That was tiring. Time for a (short) break.
  • 13. Add some mustard (Grey Poupon).
  • 14. Don’t forget the onions.
  • 15. Capers, salt, and pepper.
  • 16. Open your mouth and close your eyes.
