Objectives for Students Create a student division within which members can connect with one another and meet like-minded students from across the state Develop professionally through mentoring relationships with other MIMA members Provide opportunities for university and college chapters to further recruit and network Design occasions for students to showcase their portfolios and view each other’s work
6. Strategies - Start the Conversation Generate “buzz” about the student chapter Encourage current MIMA student members to promote to classmates Talk with organizations such as AMA, AdFed, PRSSA to see if there is any interest among members

Strategies – Developing Connections Suggest that current professional members invite interns and student employees to MIMA events and encourage membership Find one person from each school with MIMA involvement to start spreading the word Invite current MIMA professional members to speak to MIMA students
