    Notes on slide 1

Our group chose “Why Flagler?” as our topic to understand better why students choose to attend this school. We are Nikki, Paul and Marisa.

We wanted to know, essentially, why people chose Flagler College. We were interested in what about the school is so appealing and what drew people’s attention to this school in particular when they decided where to attend college.

As most students already normally know, there are more females at Flagler then men

The most popular majors at Flagler Business Admin and Communication, two of the most popular liberal arts majors offered by this school.

Most students that took the survey are freshman and seniors.

It makes sense that most students would like the weather in the low 70’s to low 80’s considering that Flagler is in a beach town with weather pretty much consistent to that year round, if not a little hotter

Most students here came from places near Flagler campus.

Most students did very little research on the school, just knew that they wanted to go here.

There are very few students that got some sort of scholarship to Flagler

Those who did receive scholarships, mostly received Bright Futures.

It seems that the majority of the students who applied to Flagler were happy to get in because not many students applied to more than one school.

    In conclusion…

    14. Most students chose Flagler College for the liberal arts majors offered here, as well as many independent reasons. Through the survey sent out, there are many observations that can be made about why Flagler was chosen, and for many people the only choice, but none of the assumptions can be considered reliable without further study.
