David Malouf commented on Architectures for Conversation (ii): What Communities of Practice can mean for Information Architecture I have to say this is one of the best presentations of our problem set in organizing UX (let alone IA), I have seen. I think that this is a jumping off point. While there are many assumptions in the slides, these are assumptions that need to be discussed, evaluated and proved out, but they are good assumptions and a strong visual presentation is made.
