  2. 2. Cutting Tools:Hand Saw<br />A hand saw is a tool designed to cut straight lines in dimensioned lumber. There are 2 different models of this tool; a cross cut saw (designed to cut across the grain direction) and a rip saw (designed to cut along the grain direction).<br />
  3. 3. Cutting Tools:Back Saw<br />A backsaw is any handsaw which has a stiffening rib on the edge opposite the cutting edge, allowing for better control and more precise cutting than with other types of saws.<br />
  4. 4. Cutting Tools:Hack saw<br />A hacksaw is a fine-tooth saw with a blade under tension in a frame, used for cutting materials such as metal. <br />
  5. 5. Cutting Tools:Drywall Saw<br />A drywall saw is a course tooth, pointed handsaw used to make holes or cut-outs in drywall. <br />
