Learn What Is Networking

  1. 1. BASICS ONBASICS ON NETWORKMARKETINGNETWORKMARKETING
  2. 2. The basics of Networking “From your conversation in the morning until your last conversation at night you are NETWORKING”
  3. 3. Networking is the art of BULDING and SUSTAINING Mutually beneficial RELATIONSHIPS. There is a worthwhile reason for all parties to participate. It happens at home, at work, in our community , with everyone” “its about helping and being help” “Having expecting others and meeting their expectations of you”
  4. 4. Two Facets Networking is building relationships before you need them, so when you need help, you know people to contact who will be willing and able to help you “Networking is not selling anything, getting a job, receiving a funds or donation”
  5. 5. Learn to Network Getting to know people and letting others know you begins the Networking cycle. Networking is about getting what you need or want-and helping others what they want and need. You need other people in your life to do what you want to do, professionally and personally, and other people need you in their lives
  6. 6. That means that reputation and trust are essential. Reputation is what others think of you. It starts with the first impression. It builds as people get to know you – if your effective, if you work well with others, if you’re sincere, if you respect others.
  7. 7. Networking is about having expectations of others and meeting their expectations of you. Make the best impression as possible, show that you care, help others and work to build a good reputation “For Networking to be worthwhile, you need to give as much as you take”
  8. 8. Know What and Why Our network is a group of people who want us to be successful, safe, and secure- personally and professionally. It’s people who are willing to lend a hand ,share an idea, champion our efforts, and when appropriate, challenges us to reach new heights
  9. 9. Networking Marketing is the start- It’s an integrated campaign of promotion, design to create awareness. Networking is a personal connection with people whom may want what you have, know others who do, or play a role in the decision. Selling connects the SOLUTION to the PROBLEM. “Networking is not marketing or selling”
  10. 10. TYPES OF NETWORKING Strategic Networking- Has created purpose and therefore a desired outcome. Serendipitous Networking- Is an unplanned encounter that leads to a mutually beneficial relationship
  11. 11. Strategic Networking Prepares you for serendipitous networking. When you are confident of your ability to meet people and explore the possible benefits of both parties, you’re more open to chance encounters and converting them to mutually beneficial relationships.
