    • Founded in February 2005, YouTube is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience.
    • In November 2006, within a year of its launch, YouTube was purchased by Google Inc.
    • Today, 57% of online video viewers in North America view video on YouTube in a typical month, making it the most watched online video site by a wide margin.
    • In January 2009, YouTube received more than 100 million unique visits making it again the most widely viewed video service in the US.

    • There is nothing to it!
    • Channel = Profile
    • Allows you to not just watch videos, but upload an unlimited number to your Channel.
    • Other users can access your channel/profile to find out what videos you've uploaded and which videos are your favorites; you can also subscribe to a user's profile to be notified when that user uploads new videos to the YouTube site.

    • Remember- YouTube specifies that videos should be no longer than 10 mins and no bigger than 100MB
    • Click on and fill out required information.
      • Keep Interesting
      • Public vs. Private
    • Once uploaded, add as many tags as you'd like, and make them relevant to your video's subject matter.

    • Add Relevant Tags
      • Select appropriate tags to describe the video
      • Use as many tags as possible
      • Think long tail searches when it comes to tags also
      • Use adjectives to target searches based on mood
      • Add category descriptive tags
      • Most important tags should also match title and description of movie
      • Don’t use “and” “or” etc. words as tags
    • Embed Videos
      • Each YouTube video is accompanied by a piece of HTML , which can be used to embed it on a page outside the YouTube website.
      • Use this function across all Social Media channels.

      • Misleading tags, titles and descriptions
      • Repetitive content

    • Flickr is free… All you need is a Yahoo ID.
    • Use custom options- official logo, links back to your site
    • Fill out as much information as possible
    • Adding photos to Flickr is done through a simple upload system.
    • When uploading photos, use keyword rich tags
    • Engage with users that leave comments
    • At any time, you can look for Flickr Groups to join
