AP Calculus Slides October 11, 2007 - Presentation Transcript

    1. Graphs, Graphs, Graphs, ... Which curve is f(x), f '(x), f ''(x), and unrelated. Explain your answer for each.
    2. Sullys’ Nuts! Sul U. Clac the squirrel (Sully for short) has been collecting nuts to store for the winter. Lately he has not been able to find as many because the other squirrels have had the same idea, but his stash of nuts still continues to grow. The function f(x) represents the amount of nuts which Sully has collected. What can you conclude about the sign of f(x), f '(x), and f ''(x) and why? Are f(x) and f'(x) increasing or decreasing?
