  2. 2. Click on ‘show drawing functions’ or select view-toolbars-drawing menu item
  3. 3. Choose the ‘Shapes’ tab
  4. 4. I recommend the following shapechoicesExperiment with them. It takespractise to use them well.

This curve shape is very flexible it will enable you to drawdiminishing returns, bell shapes, growth curves to name a few !   Click where you want the curve to start !   Move the mouse to extend the curve !   Click again to change direction !   To stop drawing double-click at the end point !   Click and drag the the green marker to rotate the arc
  6. 6. The line shape draws a line in the simplest most straightforward way !   Click on the graph to place a line !   Click on the line to end to show the square markers !   Click and drag on a marker to move and resize the line
  7. 7. The arc shape is good to use when your data pattern describespart of a curve !   Click on the graph to place the arc !   Click on the line to end to show the square markers !   Click and drag the yellow markers to increase/decrease the extent of the arc (you can go from a very shallow arc all the way to a full circle) !   Click and drag the grey markers to resize the arc !   Click and drag the and drag the green marker to rotate the arc
