S3 review – Is it the woman version of the K3?
The S3 which is the woman version of the K3 has been released. It’s because of the rounding
shape, pretty color.

2. Box
Like the T10 LaFleur, the box is really compact. After comparing the box size of them, I thought
they used the same size of the box. I think it’s for the low price, and convenience.

3. Package

This introducing S3 is not an official product, but a text product, so the package is not perfect.
It doesn’t include the install CD, and manual. The EP-370 which was proved to be good is
provided.
** The stereo extension cable in the picture is an accessory for the docking speaker which will
be explained later. Don’t get me wrong.
The peculiar thing is that the USB cable is white unlike the other product. So far, iPod and
iRiver have provided the white cable to eliminate the hard product image, and I think now
Samsung realized the importance of the color. Anyway, the feeling is better with the white
cable.

4. Part introduction
The button array is the same as the K3.

The Dimming of the LED in the S3 is really good.

5. USB download speed
Surprisingly, the reading speed is the best of all yepp products. And the writing speed is the
second best following the Z5/P2. (Reading : 6.2MB/s, Writing : 3.0MB/s)

6. Display GUI
It succeeds the GUI of the S5/P2.

One thing you should know is that it has no voice recording function which the K3 had. You will
find out there’s no such thing, if you see the prime pack menu.
7. Docking Speaker (YA-SD210)
I want to introduce the docking speaker which will be sold separately briefly.

There’s guide to use the S5. By changing this part, users can use the P2/T10/PB2.
The back provided guide. (S3, T10) – Because it’s not an official one, I’m wondering how many
guide will be included. Anyway, there was no guide for the P2.

Looking at the side of the product, there’s a 24 pin connector, and stereo jack. Volume can be
controlled with the analog switch at the very left picture.

Recharger will be included. AC adapter (AD200)
The speaker is designed to work without the power adapter using the power of the S3. So users
can listen to music without connecting a long cable. Once the power is supplied, the blue LED
at the front is on.
I connected the P2 and T10. There was no problem at all

8. Conclusion
If you are looking for the product without the voice recording and Bluetooth, I would
recommend this instead of the K3. This is the most upgraded model of the Yepp lineup, I think.
(I saw bug and speed improved much.)
As I mentioned briefly, I suppose the upgraded K3 for women is released looking at the
specification and design. Rounding design, and the bright color reminded me of the cosmetic
box.
The things I want more are the old GUI/interface and the 1.8 inch small screen. Considering the
current market, they would be a little nonsense. Looking at the cause of the success of the
iRiver E200 such as the 2.4 inch screen and low price, I hope they will release the product
customers want to have. At least 2 inch screen is needed for video, I suppose.
