  • Anyone can create their own self-signed digital certificate using free, open source software OpenSSL. The FDA and many other agencies allow the use of self-signed digital certificates, negating the need for ARX coSign. They are not the only solution.

  • Wow I can't believe anyone would actually pay for this product.

You can get the same features for free with open source software. Just use iText for PDF digital signature embedding and CAcert for a free digital certificate that is x.509 compliant. Bingo, you have a free solution that is standards based and is compatible with 99% of the document management platforms.

  2. 2. Seamless Digital Signatures in Workflows A typical example of digital signature use within a life science Document Management solution is a situation in which a document must be signed by more than one signer. The originator of the document checks-in the document and routes it to the various signers. Each signer receives an e-mail with a URL directing them to the document. The signers then check-out the document, read and sign it. Once the document has been signed by each individual, the originator/owner of the document is notified that the signing process is complete. Furthermore, signed documents can be examined for proof of the signer’s identity, intent, and record integrity without costly, complicated, or proprietary software.
