PHUG, Open Source Culture, is an open source community whose focus is to bring designers and developers together, both student and professional. It is our goal to raise awareness of open source alternatives, bring open source education to the class room and office place, and collaborate with other open source communities. PHUG offers many FREE Workshops and hosts a wide range of open source events and user groups.

    • PHUG – Open Source Culture, was founded over a year ago. It is our goal to develop an Open Source Culture where designers and developers meet to share their knowledge, experience, tools, and expertise in order to bridge the gap between both their communities.
    • We have successfully built a community of over 4000 members online, we host FREE workshops across Toronto, and will be hosting WordCamp Toronto 2009!

    • WordCamp is a conference type of event that focuses squarely on everything WordPress. Everyone from casual end users all the way up to core developers show up to these events. These events are usually highlighted by speeches or keynotes by various people.

    • FlashPress is an extension to WordPress, which allows Flash designers/developers to use the WordPress engine to communicate with a Flash site. The use of the WordPress CMS in Flash overcomes many obstacles involved with maintaining and updating a Flash site.
