Spencer is up early contacting friends and letting them in on his
plans for a surprise proposal and wedding for Rena.
Candy does her part by inviting Rena out; telling her that they’re
going to a concert.
The plan is in place. Spencer knows that Rena would never agree to
marry him today, if she doesn’t feel that she is looking her best. Candy
agrees to treat Rena to a surprise makeover, while Spencer makes all the
final arrangements and invites all of his guests.
Rena arrives at the salon just as Candy pulls up. “Thanks for meeting me
here.” Candy says.
“So are we going to head up to the stadium for the concert now?” Rena
“Oh, about that…that was a little white lie. I told you that to get you
to meet me here. I want to treat you to a makeover.”
“Really?” Rena says in disbelief. “No one has ever done anything
like this for me. Thank you!” She gives Candy a big hug.
Candy and Rena enter the salon. Candy tells the stylist that she
wants Rena’s makeover to be very special.
Candy instructs the stylist on exactly what she wants done for
Candy also picks out a wedding dress and Rena tries it on. The
dress looks absolutely magical on her.
Next, they choose one of many everyday outfits. The yellow top
looks incredible against Rena’s dark brown skin.
Candy is happy with Rena’s hair and overall look.
Rena is shocked when she finally gets to see her completed
makeover. “I can’t believe that’s really me.” She says pointing to
the beautiful girl in the mirror.
“Why are you shocked?” Candy asks, “You’ve always been gorgeous.”
“Thanks, but I’ve never owned such nice clothes.”
“Well, get used to it,” Candy says, ”you have a lot of goods things coming
Candy and Rena arrive back at the Pratt home. Spencer meets them out
on the driveway. “What do you think?” Rena asks.
Spencer is speechless as he takes in the stunning vision before him.
“You look incredibly gorgeous,” he finally manages to answer.
Spencer decides that right now is the time. He is going to ask
Rena to marry him here and now. “You know I love you more than
“Of course I do,” she says grabbing Spencer into an embrace.
Spencer cannot resist kissing her on her soft lips. She looks so
He finally manages to pull away and get down on one knee. “Rena
Brower, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry
Rena can barely speak. Tears pool in her eyes and her heart
pounds in her chest. She cannot believe her eyes.
“Yes, of course I’ll marry you,” She manages to choke out. Spencer
places the ring on her finger.
Rena glances at the ring. It’s like a miniature star glowing on her hand.
“One more thing Rena...” Spencer continues,” I want to know if you’ll marry
me today.” Spencer cannot believe that he managed to get the words out
without stumbling on them. He’s so nervous that she’ll say no.
At first Spencer doesn’t think that Rena heard him. “I have everything
arranged. We can be married within hours,” he says trying to sound
Rena pulls him in close and whispers.“Spencer, of course I’ll marry you.
I’d marry you right here in this driveway if that’s what you wanted to do.”
Spencer is so happy that he is barely able to dial the numbers on
his phone. He calls the wedding venue to confirm that he and
Rena will in fact be getting married today.
