  10. 10. SO, WHAT ARE THE BASICS OF HIGH SCHOOL?
  11. 11. your student needs these: *Beginning with the class of 2012, students must earn a combined total of 7.0 credits in Math and Science. **Two years of World Language will be required. Exceptions are considered on an individual basis.

  13. 13. HOW DO I CALCULATE GPA?
  14. 14. An example: Step 1: For each class, multiply the Grade (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0) by the # of Credits and total those numbers up to get Quality Points Step 2: Divide Quality Points by Total # of Credits to get GPA
  15. 15. An example: 4x1=4 Step 1: 4 x 0.5 = 2 4 x 0.5 = 2 Step 2: 3x1=3 26 / 7 credits = 3.71 GPA 4x1=4 3x1=4 4x1=4 4x1=4 = 26 quality points

  18. 18. 1.) Take Honors classes if you get a “C” or better in it, 0.05 per credit will be added to your GPA 2.) Take AP (Advanced Placement) classes if you get a “C” or better in it, 0.1 per credit will be added to your GPA
