Amplifying the flexibility FabLab Gogoasa-Filimon Diana
Material- CardboardThe material that I chose to mork with was cardboard. Thismaterial is practical, resistant and you can change the furniturewhen you want because is a recycled material.I chose to work with it on the entire FabLAb, not only on thefurniture, but also for the ceiling and the decorative objects.
ConceptThe idea behind the concept is that FabLAb is a place where everyonehas to be able to learn how to use different machines to build "almostanything". FabLAb is a place where people can meet, talk, work together, exchange information, share experiences and knowledge.FabLab is about movment and change. Is a dynamic space, where peoplecome, create, interact and then leave. So the place have to be able to offer the possibility to be changeddepending on needs. As a reference I used the Flexible Love designed by Chishen Shiu. Hecreated a chair made entirely of recycled cardboard, which can stretch forup to 16 people, and then shrink, almost disappearing when not needed. It expands like an accordion allowing a maximum of flexibility and agreat variety of form. The benches you can create by opening FlexibleLove can be curved or linear, also allowing adaptability to differentenvironments.
50 50 The orizontal and vertical pannels are made 80 25 200 200 50 of 10 pieces of cardboard with a thickness of 50 80 5mm. After the pieces are cut, according to the instructions, they are glued together in 600 340 340 25 35 340 500 order to create a more robust structure. One pannel will have a thickness of 5 cm being 80 80 able to sustain the entire shelf but also heavy 25 50 objects like materials for the model, working 50 80 Closing Panel tools, models or books. 340 500 802.35 50 50 80 340 500 80 50 50 80 340 500 80 50 50 50 50 Vertical Panels scale 1:10 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 80 340 80 80 340 80 80 340 80 80 340 80 80 340 80 80 340 80 80 340 80 50 200 140700 185 25 150 Vertical Pane
