Forum 1- Biblical Authority (Modules 2&3)
1. Read "Arguments that the Bible is the Word of God" by Elmer Towns and
watch the Module/Week 2 video lecture.
2. Based on this material, write an essay of 250-350 words discussing which
one of Dr. Towns' 10 arguments that the Bible is the Word of God is the most
convincing. (State this in a thesis sentence such as: " Elmer Towns' strongest
argument for the Bible as the word of God is___________". This should be
the 1st sentence of your essay. Italicize this sentence.)
3. Explain why this is a strong argument. Be sure to include at least 2 quotes
from the article for support. (Set these apart by putting these quotations in
bold and italics). Please do not write about an argument that you do not think
is convincing.
Forum 2- The Church (Modules 5&6)
These must be 150 words long- MINIMUM (if you are an excellent and
concise writer). For the rest of us you will find that it will take around 250
words or so to complete the assignment. In your responses, be sure to
Summarize, Commend, Contribute, and Encourage in your reply to its author.
