A wiki is software that allows users to create, edit, and link web pages easily. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. "wiki", Encyclopedia Britannica, 2007

Wiki?
Wiki - wiki means “Quick” in Hawaiian.
The first wiki was created by Ward Cunningham in 1995.

Wikis and Education?
A wiki very “easy”. Anyone can edit it whenever they want.
In a classroom, wikis can be used to allow every student the ability to participate in group projects.

What About Security?
Can wikis be protected from online predators?

Wikis are Password protected. You can also set your wiki to private so no one on the Internet can see you at all.

What about monitoring student comments? You can monitor every change to the wiki.

Creation Is Easy Go to www.pbwiki.com and press the create a wiki button.

Wiki-wiki – 3 Steps 1. Type in your email address 2. Pick a password 3. Name your wiki
