  • PurposeDelivering educator professional development related to Home Base systems. The Home Base related training must be focused on using digital and other instructional technologies to provide high-quality, integrated digital teaching and learning to all students, and acquiring quality digital content to enhance instruction.
  • Research shows that student achievement is typically higher in schools with library media programs that have flexibly accessed instruction. I communicated recently with media/technology directors who would like to connect their elementary principals/SLMCs who operate a fixed schedule library with principals/SLMCs who have strong elementary library programs operating on a fully flexible schedule for instruction.
  • Each year NCTIES recognizes outstanding individuals who have shown outstanding achievement and leadership in implementing technology to improve education.
