  • Curriculum Vitae1. Don’t hand-write anything on your CV2. Don’t include reference letters and other credentialing documents unlessrequested3. Don’t leave time gaps; it invites speculation4. Don’t include your SSN or a photo5. Don’t use lots of different fonts and colors6. Don’t forget to mention if you are BE or BC7. Don’t exclude your visa status information8. Don’t omit your contact info (address, email, phone)9. Don’t forget to tailor your objective to the specific position you’re applyingto10. Don’t forget to spell check!

  • Closing the Deal• Use your relationship with your recruiter/key contact person• Don’t be pressured to make a decision before you are ready• Don’t start negotiating until you’re ready to accept an offer– Understand what is negotiable• Give them your wish list in its entirety– Don’t keep coming back with additional requests• Make sure your wants are reasonable and doable
