  • 1. How to make a Miwok basket
    • By: Devleena Das, Warren Shen, and Angela Sun
  • 2. The things you need to make a Miwok basket
    • A 30 inch by 26 inch long tub.
    • Dry reeds.
    • Need small and large reeds.
  • 3. Step one
    • Take large reed and cut it into eight 20 inch pieces.
    • Take small rope and tie the big reeds in hand.
  • 4. Step two
    • Dye a small reed about 100 inches long if wanted.
    • Do not touch the reed until two hours are over.
    • You do not have to dye the reed.
  • 5. Step three
    • Take the small reed and go in and out on the big reeds.
  • 6. Step four
    • When you get to the end of the reed leave it alone.
    • Repeat the steps above.
  • 7. Step five
    • When you think you are done, tuck the big reeds into the slots that your basket has made.
