  • 1. The Eensy Weensy Caterpillar Poem by Steven Traugh Performed by Grade 2 EAL Students
  • 2. An eensy weensy egg lies where it can’t be seen,
  • 3. In a leafy bush, lost in a sea of green.
  • 4. An eensy weensy caterpillar hatches out one night,
  • 5. And begins to eat and eat and eat every leaf in sight.
  • 6. The eensy weensy caterpillar now has grown so big,
  • 7. That it spins a chrysalis hanging from a sturdy twig.
  • 8. Inside its chrysalis it will change as time goes by,
  • 9. And when it does emerge, it will be a butterfly.
  • 10. The butterfly, so beautiful, flutters ‘round for days,
  • 11. ‘Till she finds the perfect place for her eggs to lay.
  • 12. Now an eensy weensy egg lies where it can’t be seen,
  • 13. In a leafy bush, lost in a sea of green. Yeah!
